Microtensile Bond Strength of Self-etching Adhesives to Dentin

چکیده
The aim of this study was to determine microtensile bond strength of two and one-step self-etching adhesive systems to dentin. 25 intact human third molars were used. Flat surfaces of mid-coronal dentin were exposed and the teeth were divided into 5 groups (n=5). Composite build-ups were made using the following self-etching systems / composite materials: 2-step self-etching system Contax / Ecusphere Carat (DMG), 2-step self-etching system AdheSE / Tetric Ceram (Ivoclar Vivadent), 1-step 2-components selfetching system Futurabond NR / Grandio (Voco) and 1-step 1-component self-etching adhesive G Bond / Gradia Direct (GC Corp.). Two-step etch-and-rinse system PQ Clear with Amelogen Universal composite resin (Ultradent) was used in the control group. Bond strength was assessed with the non-trimming microtensile technique. Statistical analysis was performed using the 1-way ANOVA, followed by the Tukey test for post-hoc comparisons (p<0.05). Investigated self-etching systems showed satisfactory values of microtensile bond strength to dentin after 24 hours. Two-step self-etching system AdheSE resulted in significantly higher bond strength than all the other groups (p<0.001). Microtensile bond strength of self-etching systems Contax, Futurabond NR and G Bond was comparable to the etch-and-rinse system PQ Clear.

Bond Strength of Total-Etch Dentin Adhesive Systems on Peripheral and Central Dentinal Tissue: A Microtensile Bond Strength Test
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the microtensile bond strength (μ TBS) of four total-etch adhesives [Excite (EB), Prime & Bond NT (PBNT), Single Bond (SB), and One Coat Bond (OCB)] by comparing them to five self-etching adhesives (Clearfil SE Bond (CSEB), Xeno III (X III), Prompt L-Pop (PLP), AQ Bond (AQB), and Tyrian/One Step plus (TOSP)] at different dentinal areas. In ad...
متن کاملEffect of water on bonding of one-bottle self-etching adhesives.
This study evaluated the effect of water on dentin substrate bonding of one-bottle self-etching adhesives. Dentin substrates were divided into two groups: wet and dry dentin. Wet dentin is the normal substrate for bond testing whereas dry dentin was dehydrated in a desiccator for 24 hours. Bonded dehydrated teeth were then divided into two subgroups: stored in water or in desiccator for 24 hour...

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of additional acid etching and curing mechanism (light-curing or self-curing) of a composite resin on the dentin bond strength and compatibility of one-step self-etching adhesives. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixteen human permanent molars were randomly divided into eight groups according to the adhesives used (All-Bond Universal: ABU, Clear...
متن کاملMicrotensile bond strength of different adhesive systems in dentin irradiated with Er:YAG laser
The objective this study was to evaluate in vitro the bond strength of two etch-and-rise and one self-etching adhesive system after dentin irradiation with Er:YAG (erbium: yttrium aluminum garnet) laser using microtensile test. The results revealed that the groups treated with laser Er:YAG presented less tensile bond strength, independently to the adhesive system used. The prompt L-pop adhesive...

PURPOSE To evaluate the effect of water storage on the microtensile dentin bond strength of one total-etch and four self-etching adhesives to dentin. METHODS The adhesive materials were: one total-etch adhesive (Admira Bond) and four self-etch adhesives (Clearfil S tri Bond, Hybrid Bond, Futurabond NR, Adhe SE). Freshly extracted human third molar teeth were used. For each tooth, dentin was e...
